Looking for an arbitrarily prime number of songs for your pop-punk/emo summer road trip playlist? You’ve come to the right place.

Summer is here.

Last week on the show, we talked about “The Great Escape” music video, which depicts more of a great execution of plans to go see a show. Nothing wrong with it! But that got us thinking about escapes, road trips, and what the soundtrack to such a journey might sound like.

Well, here we are. You can listen to the episode or check out the playlist below (Apple Music or Spotify), but here are seven must-have tunes for your summer escape (a prime number because Buzzfeed, we guess):

7. The Only Difference Between Martyrdom and Suicide is Press Coverage, Panic! At The Disco

We swear to shake it up if you swear to listen. This song rips and this album is dangerous. Add it to the playlist.

6. Ohio (Come Back To Texas), Bowling For Soup

Bluebell wants you back, and also wants you to add this sing-a-long to the playlist. I think the CD had a bonus track where they just went through all of the stereotypically-Texas references they could think of that may want you to be back in the Lone Star State. And if you’re driving through the Lone Star State, you’re going to need all the help you can get.

Also, just dynamite use of song title parenthesis.

5. Everything I Own Fits in this Backpack, The Wonder Years

Do you not like a place? Would you like to leave? Well, this song will inform you just how easy it is to take the fuck off. Necessary add to the list.

4. California, Phantom Planet

Whatever the trip, whether on the way there or on the way back, this song belongs on your playlist. Also, sneakily solid music video. Jason Schwartzman, please have lunch with me.

3. First Date, blink-182

In the car, I just can’t wait.

2. Feeling This, blink-182

If you know the show at all, this was inevitable. This was very close to becoming an exclusively blink-182 mixtape draft. Also, points for use of the word “summer.”

1. Chapped Stick, Chapped Lips, and Things Like Chemistry, Relient K

Not sure you’re going to get more specific Six Flag references or dated cellphone plan intricacies anywhere else. Are you young at heart? Are you headed to a theme park? This is probably the jam for you.

Thanks for being here everybody.
