Hot Mulligan have quickly become one of the favorites on our show since they came recommended by a listener and good friend. They released a new single and music video today, which at the time of writing is still “unlisted” on No Sleep Record’s YouTube channel.

The music video is fucking wild. Tons of goofy shots of the band in an infinite white room portraying greasers and similar ego driven characters as they equip their funky matte lens sunglasses over and over.

The shining moment in the music video was on the last hit of the song when text on the screen prominently displayed “Directed by Michael Herrick”. Since covering more and more music videos on the podcast, we’ve begun to appreciate the art and vision that goes into these music videos, and this one of *Equip Sunglasses* being so good, I’m happy to see it’s director and creative visionary being proudly recognized in the video. Strong move on everyone’s part, and super cool fo the band to write off on that moment. I found that to be very special.
